Ol Doinyo Lengai Climbing Tour—Conquer the Mountain of God
Discover the extraordinary Ol Doinyo Lengai, an active volcano in Northern Tanzania near the stunning Lake Natron, where thousands of pink flamingos gather annually. Known as the "Mountain of God" by the Maasai, Ol Doinyo Lengai is the only volcano in the world to produce natrocarbonatite lava, or "cold lava," with a dark-brown or black hue and water-like fluidity at temperatures of 510-600°C. Despite erupting approximately 15 times in the last century, with the most recent in 2013, its remote location ensures safe exploration far from Maasai villages.
